Aria: The Best Gelato and Italian Restaurant in Boracay

Aria is a popular Italian restaurant in Boracay, also serving some of the island’s best gelato. Known for its authentic Italian flavours and beachfront location, it’s a go-to spot for pizza, pasta, and gelato. Conveniently located at D’Mall, in the same area as another great restaurant, Island Chicken Inasal, it’s easy to reach on a hot, sunny day.

Gelato

Who doesn’t love gelato? Especially on a hot tropical island like Boracay, a scoop (or two) of creamy, refreshing gelato is the perfect treat to cool down and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Inside the restaurant, they will give you a list of flavours if you ask, and you can enjoy your gelato in a waffle bowl. We tried the chocolate and strawberry flavours.

At the gelato store outside, you can see the wide selection of flavours for yourself, including local options such as ube, a purple yam native to the Philippines. Many classic Italian flavours, like stracciatella, are also offered.

Pizza

We love their gelato, but of course, Aria is also an Italian restaurant serving delicious pizzas.

Their Margherita pizza is a classic and a best seller.

If you want something a little different, try their Calzone, a folded pizza filled with either ham or, for vegetarians, eggplant, along with mushrooms and mozzarella.

Takeaway is always an option! This is their Aria pizza, topped with Parma ham, and it’s also one of their best sellers.

Pasta

They offer a great selection of pasta dishes, from classic Italian favourites to more creative options. Each pasta is made with authentic flavours, perfect for a comforting meal by the beach. Vegetarian and seafood options are also available, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate.

My favourite pasta dish is Carbonara, which happens to be one of their best-selling pastas, made in a creamy egg yolk sauce with parmesan cheese and crispy bacon bits.

This is their Pesto, a delicious vegetarian pasta with a blend of basil, pine nuts, garlic, and a mix of parmesan and pecorino cheese.

The Arrabbiata is a classic tomato sauce pasta with a hint of garlic, mild in spice, and also a vegetarian option.

Whether you’re visiting for the gelato or their pizzas and pastas, Aria is a must-try spot in Boracay. It’s the perfect place to visit for dinner too, especially after a paraw sailing adventure.
